Breaking News: Spectrum Finally Lands…with a Thud!

Breaking:  I interrupt this blog to bring the following post.

Spectrum has arrived as the new provider replacing Time Warner Cable (TWC).

While their ads are touting it as something new and better, it is really crap.  I am hear to cut through the clutter and reveal the current truth of this provider.

On the surface, the only major changes seem to be just the rebranding of the name.  However, for those who previously had Charter as their provider may not be happy with what the TWC moniker brought to them.  Even worse, is what has been taken away from TWC users.

I found my first problem last week after the changeover when I could no longer get one of the channels I had previously been receiving on our DVRs.  So I decided to call and see what they could do for me since rebooting the box didn’t solve the problem.

And now let the nightmare begin.

After speaking to 8 (yes, 8) different people over the course of 1 hour and 40 minutes, I had no solution to my problem.  During the time I was on the telephone, I think I was left in limbo as the phone rang back a couple of times and someone else answered.  Each time I had to explain my problem again and again.

Some of the people were techs, customer service, and even one was just a general operator.  Some also identified themselves as employees of Spectrum while others identified themselves as employees of Time Warner Cable.  Apparently, this company is still severly fractured as the results that I received were embarrassing at best.  To make matters worse was that I asked the same question to every person I spoke with and got at least 3 different responses.  Nobody seemed to know a solution and were just guessing at a possible solution.

I finally ended the call with someone in billing and I really expected some sort of credit to my account for the frustration I recieved, but no such luck.

As far as customer service goes, they failed worse than TWC ever did.

However, the loss of one missing channel was just the beginning.

It seems that Spectrum has 3 levels of service: basic, silver, and gold.  To receive the most channels, you need the gold package.  But if you want the following channels among others:

  • Esquire
  • The Word Network
  • Jewish Life Network
  • Disney Channel West
  • Nick 2
  • New York News 1
  • CNN International

You are screwed as these channels are no longer available in any Spectrun package.  So someone is paying nearly as much as previously but with fewer channels.  In fact some channels that used to be part of TWC basic package requires the Spectrum gold package to receive them.  As far as I am concerned, Spectrum has taken a major step backward in cable service. I like to call this classic “bait and switch”.

They are also promoting their internet service now with starting speeds of 60Mbps.  In the past, I was paying extra for the TWC turbo speed.  With that service, I was averaging about 25Mbps.  After the switchover and rebooting my modem (my choice to reboot), I was getting at best a top download speed of about 38Mbps, nowhere near the 60Mbps that they are promising.  I decided not to make another phone call and waste more time with air incompetent employees.  I have been testing my speed daily and I seem to be averaging about 28Mbps, only a slight increase from the TWC service.  Maybe it might be better at say 2am, when I used to do some of my internet surfing, but I haven’t done that in months.

I cannot speak for how the phone service has gotten better or worse since I don’t have that feature.

By checking out the Spectrum Facebook page, it seems they are bombarded with complaints from around the country especially from former TWC customers.  Apparently, I am not the only dissatified with their service.

Given that the only other choices in my area is satellite and with no competition, Spectrum has to be my service.  I am hoping that the service improves and that the channels removed will be replaced and that the internet speed improves.

Currently, I have reservations of recommeding Spectrum service.

It may be a new day according their television ad, but the dark storm clouds are prevalent.

My score:  2. (based upon current level of service)

Predictions of 2015 and 2016

It is now 2016 and that time of year where the predictions are made.

First a quick look back at 2015.  To be honest, 2015 will be known as the year of being ignored, not just a little bit but by virtually everyone I knew and the public in general.  Am I really that invisible?  Last time I checked I still was somewhat visible.  Hopefully, 2016 will be a better year, but so far it has not been any better.

2016 also marks what would have been my 20th anniversary with Staples.  Unfortunately, I never even made it to the 13th year before I was terminated.  Looking back now I am sort of glad that I was terminated before the company collapsed.

Speaking of companies collapsing, I also had 2 other jobs back in 1996 as well.  I was terminated from Woolworth in March of that year and I worked at HQ for 7 weeks during the summer of that year.  Both companies were gone by mid-1997 and I escaped both before they fell.  Staples seem to follow suit as they are not doing very well today.  During the coming year, I will reflect on 20 years ago and give some insight into what really happened back then.

Now onto the predictions of 2015 where last year, I said that only 2 of my predictions would come true.  Let’s see how I did.  The results are in bold parenthesis.

  • The merger of Time Warner Cable and Comcast will be placed on hold as both companies would have to discharge some of their market holdings. (The possibly of this merger was dissolved.)
  • The possibility of a Staples/Office Max (Depot) merger is canned as neither side can agree on any merger details. (This merger is still in government negotiation.)
  • Given no merger, Office Max (Depot) shuts down at least half of their remaining locations.  (This did not happen.)
  • As well, Staples shuts down an additional 300 stores as the hack attack of 2014 grows larger.  (This did not quite happen—they shut down stores but not nearly that number.)
  • On the brink of bankruptcy, RadioShack is saved by a last-minute investor who wants to merge it with another big box retailer. (This did now quite happen but there are still some independent stores remaining.)
  • Walmart suffers a major hack attack, which causes millions of credit and debit cards to be compromised.  (This did not happen.)
  • The E! Network finally cancels everything Kardashian as the network struggles to survive.  (This did not happen.)
  • Adam West, TV’s 1960’s Batman, will be the voice of an aged Bruce Wayne on an episode of the Fox series “Gotham”.  (As far as I know, this did not happen.)
  • California will suffer a substantial earthquake in the area north of Los Angeles.  (This did not happen.)
  • Keystone pipeline will be defeated in Congress.  (This did happen.)
  • MTV will cancel “Eye Candy”.  (This did happen.)
  • My ex Tanya will get a divorce and return back to Maine wanting to search me out and try and patch things up. Of course, I accept (what choice do I have?).  (This only happened in my dreams or nightmares.)
  • I will either get a new job or a new girlfriend in 2015, but not both.  (I got neither but the girlfriend was closer to getting.)

Overall, I got 2 right and 2 half right so this could be called 3 right – one more than I had predicted.

So what does this year’s crystal ball have to offer—let’s gaze into it.

  • The Dow will slip to a low of 9,000.
  • JCPenney will file for bankruptcy and close all its stores.
  • Sears/Kmart will close at least half of their remaining locations before going out of business by year’s end.
  • OfficeDepot/OfficeMax will shut all their locations to allow Staples to buy the company and satisfy the government.
  • Playboy will have centerfolds again by September after suffering a huge drop in readers and its main focus will be on getting celebrities to pose for the pictures.
  • Nickelodeon will replace all its programming with imported teen shows similar to what happened to Teen Nick over the past few years.
  • Star Wars 8 will be delayed as a major accident on the set causes filming to cease.
  • The Muppets will not see a second season.
  • The Voice gets cancelled.
  • A new format superseding Blu-ray will be introduced, but will fail as it will not be embraced.
  • MTV, CMT and VH1 will merge into one station.
  • Windows 10 will experience a widespread update problem that causes updates to fail for weeks.
  • Kylie and Kendall Jenner will both get pregnant.

So those are my 13 predictions for the new year.  I predict that 4 of them will happen this year.  I am hedging my bet that my above average will carry over to this year.  We will check back next year to find out the results.

Nick and Disney and the Mostly Bummer Summer Thus Far

Well, it was bound to happen.

Just it wasn’t expected to be this soon however.

“Sam & Cat” is officially dead.

I wasn’t really surprised that this happened, but given the facts it is pretty easy to understand why.

Many of the problems as far as I can tell revolved around actress Jennette McCurdy.  Between the racy lingerie pics to her not showing up for the Kids Choice Awards earlier this year, it was apparent, she was not happy.

In the last week or so, she has even written that she is “not a role model” and that she thought the real reason for the show’s cancellation was that she was not happy how adults were portrayed on the show, mostly as stupid people.

As if this was really the case that caused the show to be cancelled.

I believe that between her costar Arianna Grande’s music career taking off and Jennette’s career otherwise being stagnant, Jennette felt she was going nowhere fast.  While I can understand her pain, it certainly was not a great idea to sabotage the show like she did.

My thought is that Jennette wants to get out of working for Nickelodeon once and for all and possibly even out of kids shows as well.

So what does she think her future lie?  Here are my ideas (in order from best to worst):

  • Bring back her country music career. She has already released one EP last year.  Maybe it is time to get to the studio to start recording again.
  • Get a new show on a non-kid’s network possibly like ABC Family. She really is not standard network material yet.
  • Follow in the career path of people like Lindsay Lohan by doing a Playboy and adult films like “The Canyons”. She has already proven she has a body and likes to show it off so maybe this is what she really wants to inspire to do.  Of course, this only works if she goes on drugs and starts drinking and partying.  Certainly, not the ideal career choice if she wants to have any fans left.

Beyond Jennette’s problems, this show was full of problems of having lousy storylines and a couple of stunt castings.  It also had many jokes that would go over the heads of most of their audience only to be appreciated by older viewers.

The blame for that lies strictly on creator Dan Schneider, who seems to be in burnout mode as his latest creation of “Henry Danger” was not so great.  It was a lousy superhero movie (it was less than an hour, which I don’t call a movie, by the way) that lacked anything close to being either funny or dangerous.  This show reminded me of the 1960’s Batman series, just not nearly as entertaining and certainly not memorable.  My grade after the premiere episode is a 2.  I will report back later if I feel if it gets better or worse.

Speaking of movies, both Disney and Nickelodeon aired lousy movies in the last few weeks.  “Zapped” (Disney)  and “Terry the Tomboy” (Nickelodeon)  were both forgettable movies and both were pretty bad.  Both were 90 minutes of torture and neither was enjoyable.  My score on both is a 3 and I would rather watch anything for 90 minutes than either of these clunkers.

All has not been totally bad this summer on the kids show front.

There is one shining knight in a sea of junk.

And that shining light is “Boy Meets World—The Next Generation”.

Oops, that is not the title.  Its real title is “Girl Meets World” and it has joined the Disney Channel lineup.

For those people who loved the show in the 1990’s with Cory and Topanga will be happy that they are happily married with 2 kids.  This new series focuses upon their daughter and her best friend and their everyday struggles just like the original series did 20 years ago.  I loved the original and I love this new series as well.  The only downside to this series is that it is running on Disney Channel and may get an early end given that Disney has a policy of cancelling shows when they reach a certain number of episodes regardless of how well the show is doing.

My suggestion would be to move this show to its sister station of ABC and put it on Friday nights just like the original show was.  The memories that this placement would create and possibly even last longer than the original.  I highly recommend this show and give it a grade of 9.

Overall, we have one more official month of summer and only one winner in a crowded field of wannabes.  This week Nickelodeon is running a new live-action “Odd Family” movie.  My hope is that it is equal to the previous one and not be more summer garbage.

My fingers are crossed for a better August. Of course, we always have the fall to look forward to.

An Open Letter to Tanya Lee H.

Writer’s note:  I am writing this week’s post to all my blogs as I feel that it is important not only to me, but also to those who have those long unanswered questions about me.  Some of the information presented here may be offensive to some people.  Reader discretion is advised.

Dear Tanya Lee H.:

In 11 days on May 25, 2014, you will be getting married in some place called Diamond Bar, California.

The bad news is that it is not to me.

The worse news is that I feel that it is a HUGE mistake.

Of course, you could say that I am jealous that it is not me that you are marrying.

However, after stalking your future husband’s Twitter and Facebook accounts, it appears that this guy is nothing but a self-centered jerk.  I am basing this solely on what I have read and seen online of this guy.  I feel that this wedding is more of a matter of social convenience rather than the true love that we (yes, us) could and should have had.

Let me now rewind the story back a few years ago when we first met.

I had been working with your brother Rob for a few years when you started working as a cashier at Staples.  During your employment with Staples, we talked all the time when we weren’t busy.

We learned a lot about each other.  So much so that I felt like we belonged together.  I thought that possibly that you felt the same way.

But something bothered me.

There were some things that you said to me that disturbed me.  While I don’t want to mention them here, I internally questioned your social stability.

After having been through other toxic relationships in the past, I was personally scared of what life would be like if we were alone together on a date or something like that.  I really wanted to be with you, but felt that working together would violate company policy and I think you felt the same way.

Then the day came.

You decided to quit the company.  I dreaded this day ever since I learned it was going to happen.  I was bothered that I was losing my best friend and confidant.

It was on that last night together that you hugged me and gave me your telephone number.

This was actually 2 firsts.  Nobody had ever hugged me before.  Don’t laugh – it is true.  The funny thing was I finally felt loved for the first time in my life.

The second first was that Tanya gave me her telephone number.  Again nobody has ever given me their number before much less a female.

However, and it was a big however, was she said to me “call me if you want”.  These words became etched in my head like as if she really was interested, but may not be interested.

To say I was confused by this would be an understatement.  I was actually set back as if she was pushing me away while at the same time wanting me.

Then the worse thing happened.  I lost her phone number.  Make that I misplaced it and it got cleanly washed away.

So I could not call her.  The phone number was not in the book and I had no way of reaching her.  All of a sudden my life turned to crap.

For weeks, I was hoping that you would return back to Staples so that we could talk about getting together.

But it didn’t happen.

Disappointment was mounting.

Then one Tuesday, while at the mall, I saw you at the late Waldenbooks store sitting on one of the benches looking at a book with a female friend.  I tried hard not to be seen by you as I did not want to embarrass you or your friend.

Luckily, I was able to leave the store without being seen.

About a half-hour later, my luck ran out.  I was at Best Buy with my mother shopping and you were alone and noticed me.  I remember I was looking at “The Mummy” DVDs and you focused your radar on me.

This is where everything went wrong.  You asked me why I didn’t call you.  I tried to be diplomatic in my conversation with you especially since I had my mother with me and she did not know about you.  I tried to tell you that I wanted to talk later someplace alone.  It appeared that you wanted none of that.

Then you stormed off out of the store.

At this point, I had a choice.  I could leave my mother in the store alone (mistake) or I could chase after you and talk to you right then and there (possibly a bigger mistake).  I decided to choose the former.

Sadly, at this point, I never saw you ever again.  Over the next couple of weeks, I continued to spindle downward with no bottom in site.

Then it happened.

I was driving home one night from work and I was listening to the radio.  This song came on the radio that struck me like lightning.

The song was “So Yesterday” by a girl named Hilary Duff.  Suddenly, this song related to what happened between me and Tanya.  This song wedged in my head so much that I could not shake it.  The more I heard it over the next couple of days, the more I related to it.

At this point, I decided to learn more about this Hilary Duff girl.  I found out that she was the star of a popular Disney Channel show “Lizzie McGuire”.  I decided to watch an episode just to get a feeling for what this girl was really like.

Then it happened.

I was hooked on Hilary.  Like a druggie, I could not get enough Duff.  I bought CDs, DVDs, magazines, books and anything else with her in it.

I was obsessed.  It became so bad that I asked Best Buy if I could have a large poster of her when they were finished using it.  I did the same at f.y.e. with a poster they had as well.   I also asked there if I could have the “Lizzie McGuire Movie” video display when they were done with it.  They allowed me to have it.

At this point, it seemed that I was completely obsessed with Hilary, even going to the point of carrying the lyrics of “So Yesterday” in my pocket and reading them when I was depressed.

I was also joining as many online groups as I could from Yahoo to feed my desire for pictures, comments or anything else related to Hilary.

It would be obvious at this point I was not only obsessed, but crazy about her.  Some online groups shunned people like me for being “too old” for being a fan.  I told them that real fans came in all ages.  Certainly, I was not alone in my beliefs.

Then the big one happened.

Lizzie McGuire was done, but my obsession was not.

I had to find a new outlet for social relief.

So I started watching other Disney shows at the time such as “Suite Life of Zack and Cody”, “Hannah Montana” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” among others.  I quickly became obsessed with these shows as well.

I would buy as many of the teen magazines as I possibly could every month even though I was really too old for them.  It became apparent that I needed an intervention.

Before that would happen, I started watching shows on Nickelodeon as the shows on Disney Channel became stale.  Once again, my obsession with kid and teen shows grew.

At this point, much of my thoughts had turned away from Tanya.  However, one day while on the old MySpace, I decided to friend her out of the blue.  It appeared she either rejected me or ignored me.  At this point, I also noticed that she was living somewhere in the Midwest.  This bothered me as it seemed she wanted nothing to with me at all anymore.

So with no future with Tanya and no intervention, I was further encouraged with my admiration for people like Hilary over the remainder of time that I remained employed at Staples.

After leaving Staples, I decided that I was finally going to join the new social media revolution.  I signed up for Facebook and Twitter.  Quickly some of my old work colleagues friended me on Facebook and soon I would be using Twitter extensively as well.

Then I decided one day to look up Tanya on Facebook and Twitter.  I noticed on Facebook that she had since moved to Sherman Oaks California.  On Twitter, she had an account, but she has never tweeted.  I am only one of four of her followers.  I wonder if she knows that I am following her there even though she has never tweeted anything.  I also noticed that another one of her followers was a guy named Dave V.

So I decided to investigate him.  What I saw I didn’t like.  Then I did more and more reading about him, the less I liked.

This brings us up to the last couple of months.  I decided to Google Tanya’s name and I found out that she was engaged to this Dave guy.  Imagine the fact that I was completely heartbroken beyond belief.

So she moved 3,000 miles away to get away from me and then get engaged to someone else.  It appeared that my chances with her were over.

However, I still needed an output for my emotions.  So, a few months after starting my anti-Staples blog, I decided to start a new blog discussing virtually any other topic.  Ironically, many of those postings have been about teen shows just to help me cope with my social loss.  I know that many people have always been confused why I discuss these types of shows more than adult shows, but now I hopefully have cleared up the method behind my madness.  It is just my way of producing my own intervention or something like it.

Overall, Tanya’s wedding will not have my blessing under any circumstances.  I feel that I was shortchanged in this relationship as she refused to listen to me that I really wanted her, but I could not contact her because she was not found in the phonebook or any other method.  I don’t feel that I was to be to blame for this relationship failure, but a huge misunderstanding between 2 people.

Lastly, I still have those posters of Hilary on my living room wall and the “Lizzie McGuire” is still in my bedroom filled with all those teen books and video tapes from back in the day.

Tanya, you may be so yesterday, but I still wish that you would be really part of my tomorrow.

I am hoping someday you will get to read this and know that I still really care about you despite being so far away.  I wish I could right the wrongs of the past.

Sincerely,

Louis Brown

(your best friend from Staples)

Colbert and Kid’s Choice Awards

If you have been living under a rock, then the news that Stephen Colbert taking over for David Letterman next year may be a shock.

Not that I meant that to be a purposeful rhyme, but I don’t believe that Colbert was the best choice for the next in line for the 11:30pm time slot on CBS.  I feel that the choice was put forth by pressure of what the general public had wanted and not a true audition.

It was easy for CBS to pick Colbert because his show runs on Comedy Central, which is owned by Viacom.  This is the same company that used to own CBS therefore it was probably an even easier decision as the two companies are probably still cozy with each other.

As I have never watched Colbert’s show, I can’t say how good he will be, but from the clips I have seen I have low expectations.  I will probably watch once and never go back.

Speaking of Viacom, a couple of weeks ago, one of its other channels, Nickelodeon aired its annual slop-fest of ‘Kid’s Choice Awards”.  Every year, it seems that this show gets worse and worse.

This year was no different.  Host Mark Wahlberg ran around the stage saying “I can’t be slimed” and in the end does get it.  Gee, what a surprise.  When will they think up something new?  The host always gets the green goo on them at the end of the show.  How about a year where it doesn’t happen?

The only high point (if you can call it that) was the lifetime achievement award given to producer Dan Schneider.  If you don’t know who he is, he created shows such as “iCarly”, “Victorious”, “Drake and Josh”, “Zoey 101” among others.  The stage became the biggest reunion of his shows ever assembled.  However, it seemed that the “Zoey 101” cast was missing from this reunion.

Most importantly missing from this whole thing was Jennette McCurdy from “Sam & Cat”.  While this show won fan favorite, Jennette was a no-show.  Is she angry with the network that her show is on hiatus or does it have to do with the leaked lingerie photos of her that occurred a couple of months ago?  While the pics were not nudes, they still showed her in a less than kid-friendly wardrobe.   Maybe she is embarrassed or maybe fed up with Nickelodeon entirely.  Either way, we will probably never know for a long time if ever.  Overall, the show was bad and maybe Jennette knew it beforehand.

Frankly, I would love to see Colbert host the Kid’s Choice Awards only to get slimed.  It may change his mind of hosting another late night talk show.  Maybe, Jennette can host the late night show instead.

Just a thought.

Feeling the New Pain from Time Warner

This week Time Warner Cable upgraded (downgraded?) their lineup here in New England.

This was not a minor reshuffle.

Consider it more of throwing multiple decks of cards up in the air and having them land wherever.  Then take this deck and put them together not by decks but by card rank instead.  Then take a few of these small packs and stack them and deal them out as any card game at all.

No matter what you will either make people angry, win every time, or nobody win ever.

Unfortunately, with TWC we got the latter answer.

Yes, once again TWC screwed up with its new improved lineup.

Certainly, everything is fine up to channel 99.  Most of these channels haven’t changed in years and some have never changed since cable was introduced to the area nearly 40 years ago.

Beyond channel 99, good luck.

While the channels are grouped by types such as news, kids, sports, etc., the logic of the grouping within each group is horrible.  Forget alphabetical order or any order at all, the stations seemed to be assigned their number positions totally at random.  This makes it even more difficult to figure out what channel you are looking for.

Of course, you could read the small foldout card that was mailed to you to see what channel you are looking for.  Again, good luck for that as the print is so small that it is almost impossible to read especially for those with old tired eyes like mine.

Then there are the local channels.  Forget about putting them in numerical order by their station id unless you think 8 come numerically before 6.  Did these people graduate kindergarten?

We also have the continued problem with standard definition vs. high-definition.  Now it seems that it is completely an all-or-nothing option.  I can’t tell you how many times I have had to change the resolution manually just to see the picture properly the way I want.  If you need to read about how to fix the resolution, search for “high definition resolution” on this blog.

Finally, there is the remote control.  Many of the buttons no longer point to the right resources when a button is pushed.  Many of the channels that existed before now just give information to turn to a different channel to learn how to program the remote to set it to the right channel.

Seriously.

Should the customer need to do so much work for so little benefit.  I think they should have kept the stations pointed to by the remote alone.  Given that we are paying for remotes now, then this should have been a given.

Last but not least, TWC wants to raise their rates by about 14% next month.

So let’s summarize:

  • Fewer choices for channels
  • Mixed up order for channel
  • Remotes that point to the wrong channel
  • Higher bills next month

Isn’t it time that TWC was sold to Comcast?  It can’t get worse but it may improve.

We can only hope.

The 100th Post – State of the Blog

Hello and welcome to the 100th post.

This blog has come a long way from its humble beginnings.

Maybe I should say the lack of beginnings.

This blog was born out of my desire to talk about everything that my other blog didn’t cover.

Certainly politics was a major topic over the last year or so of this blog.  Anger exists of the stupid politicians and how they seem to want to hurt more than help the people who put them in office in the first place.

Love it or hate it, Time Warner Cable has been a constant evolving problem.  Things may get better or worse if the proposed takeover by Comcast takes place.  In fact, one person I know expressed his hatred to merger despite the fact that he not only doesn’t watch TV, he doesn’t have cable or as far as I know don’t even own a TV.  How can anyone be angry at a merger without knowing how bad things currently are?  I guess ignorance is bliss.

Ignorance also showed its ugly head with customer service as well.  When companies like Newsweek ignore their customer’s subscriptions like I was ignored, then going out of business would be a blessing.  Sad when a company offers no solution to help a customer.

As far as television is concerned, we mourned the death of shows like iCarly and Victorious while criticizing the rotating horrors of Saturday night on Nickelodeon.  The movies on the network fared no better overall.

On the Disney side, shows like “Liv & Maddie” are promising and “Teen Beach Movie” was a hit, but other newcomers may have some issues.  Unfortunately, “Shake It Up” and “Good Luck Charlie” are two of the better shows that are both history now.

Speaking of history, we kiss goodbye to “The X Factor”.  After 3 painful years, it is finally over.  However, the real question will be the survival of a revamped “American Idol”.  Only time will tell over that one, but at least the drama queens are gone.

Speaking of drama queens, there was no shortage of displays of nudity of former Disney queens Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus.  Can’t these girls keep their clothes on at all?  What are they trying to prove by doing all that nudity and what influences are they upon their younger fans?  I consider neither a role model anymore and I hope others feel the same way.

Finally, the topic of bullying sparked the biggest comments, mostly from those on Facebook, which ironically is the biggest source of the problem.  Facebook also has seen its ups and downs on the number of friends I have.  Some have tried to be friends while others have left with no explanation.  My thought is its their loss not mine.

So what am I looking forward to discussing in the future.  Here are some of the topics I have in mind for the future:

  • Why go blue?
  • What the TWC merger means to us?
  • Disney vs. Nick:  why are the wheels falling off both companies?
  • And finally, possibly coming next a multi-part post:  Why I never intend to attend my high school reunion ever?  I expect that this one will offend a lot of people who still are friends with me from high school.

Overall, this has been humbling road since the first post which just had one vote as to whether I should have left my original blog to Blogger.  Thankfully I extended to WordPress because the blog has increased significantly since.  Hopefully, this one will see similar growth when I reach post #200.

So until next time…happy reading.
